Who, What and How

We are clear about who we are, what we want to achieve, and how we go about achieving it.

Who are we?

We believe that “reading, writing and arithmetic are only important if they serve to make our children more human.”

Our twin values of Everyone Learning and Everyone Caring arise from this belief. They shape everything we are and underpin everything we do.

What do we want to achieve?

In line with our twin values, we have twin curriculum aims:

● We aim to equip students to progress in education and for the rest of their lives as learners
● We aim to develop respectful, compassionate, tolerant individuals who will make a positive difference

Our vision is to fulfil both these curriculum aims by providing an outstanding education for every student sustainably.

How do we achieve this?

First and foremost, we create a school environment where everyone feels safe, well cared for and well led. Within this, we expect all students to attend well, behave impeccably and work hard.

With this foundation of care in place, our leaders design the best curriculum for everyone, and our teachers teach this curriculum highly effectively. We intervene swiftly where needed to ensure everyone thrives.

This approach is serving us well, as our happy and highly successful students will tell you. But in accordance with our value of Everyone Learning, we always seek feedback, new ideas and research to continually evolve into the very best school we can be.
